If you take that leap of faith you are now entering an unfamiliar setting, a new way of thinking or an unfamiliar environment. The mere mention of going into the unknown will have many of you now having a song stuck in your head and cursing me for that. Long before Elsa sang about going into the unknown our human nature has had that tug. The urge to follow the voice that is calling, a part of us longing to go, the feeling and the thing that calls out and asks you to make that leap, to take that chance and to potentially upset all that you have known.
The unknown does not mean that it will become your new familiar, your new location, but for me going into this fresh territory showed me where I wanted to be and pushed me to chart a path back. Accept the journey and the things that you will discover along the way, it may lead you to new things, it may make you appreciate the old things. If you return, you will be returning a different person than you left and that is all that matters.
Uncharted territory could mean anything that you are experiencing that is foreign, unknown or you have not had experience with yet. There is a sense of danger or difficulty that often gets associated with this phrase, but what if instead you are met with the life you are meant to have. You are entering into the unknown but it turns out to have a strange familiarity like your leap of faith led you to something you thought was unknown, but it was instead very well known to your heart and soul. You stopped ignoring the call and it was exactly where you were meant to be. Your uncharted territory was just waiting for you to discover it and map it and now you are ready to share how that has made all the difference to you.
